Faircracker SUMMER 2019 TWENTY- FIVE YEARS AND COUNTING!

It was over 25 years ago that I met the amazing Peters Broth- ers. Formally some of the best- known circus performers and ani- mal trainers whose acts are now performed by many circus- acts

today. Philip and Marco Peters have truly been, not only the

longest and most successful additions to the roster at Capi- tol International Productions but also an amazing inspira- tion to me personally. When I first met them, they had two units of Live

Sharks. This was new and I was looking for new and unu- sual. I loved the idea of bringing a predator safely within inches of children attending the fairs who would never, under normal circumstances, be able to see a creature like this up close. Fairs, parks, sport and boat shows as well as many festivals and private events all had interest in the Live Sharks and the divers who get into the tank with them. These brave bothers were risking life and limb for the entertainment and education of family audiences all over the USA and Canada. A few years later as Philip continued to work with the

Live Shark Exhibit, Marco Peters went into the business of Sea Lions and created the most successful animal attrac- tion in fairs over the last 20 years and counting, Th L ns S ah.

Page 63 The education, entertainment and great fun these broth-

ers and their animals have brought to the fair going public all over the USA and Canada is unprecedented. What is very impressive is these brothers speak several languages and are highly educated in so many areas. They designed and built these complicated units that can safely haul sea animals with salt water needs and be able to pass all USDA and state requirements in doing so. I have not yet seen the date in 25 years that they have not made on time with no hassles regarding permits or quality care of ani- mals. Especially in recent years where the different mis- guided “animal rights” organizations have tried to hurt their efforts. I was the fortunate guy who was able to sign them to

long term contracts many years ago and Capitol is the company that is forever grateful to these fine, honest ani- mal loving brothers. that have proven to be successful for so many years and brought so many smiles to so many families in fairs and parks. If you have the opportunity to meet the Peters Brothers,

either Marco or Philp and see the Live Sharks or the Live Sea Lions be sure to drop them an email and let them know how much you appreciate their hard work, originality and their talent. Send them my way and I am happy to pass them on. davidm@capitolint.com Thank you. Philip and Marco Peters, two of my favorite

Brothers. You have made many lives better with your hard work and dedication to wildlife care and education.
