Introducing P.A.T.C.H. P.A.T.C.H. (Pet Adoption Thru Caring Hands) is a non-profit,

no kill cat shelter located at 26 LakesideAvenue in Pompton Lakes. Founded in 1990 by Kersti Raimondo, an avid animal lover, the shelter has been a safe haven for cats and kittens as they wait to be

adopted into forever homes. Cats are accepted into P.A.T.C.H. based on their needs and availability of space. There is always a waiting list for placement. The more cats adopted, the more space becomes available, so "Don't Shop,Adopt" from a shelter or rescue group. Our mission is to find permanent loving homes for our feline friends.Adoption hours are 12 PMto 2 PM

Saturdays and Sundays or by individual appointment. Call 973-835-7202 or email patchcatinfo@yahoo.com for additional information. If adoption is not an option at this time, perhaps you can consider our "Fund-A- Feline Friend" program. A donation of $10 a month, helps support the needs of one of our cats.. You can select the cat you want to sponsor or we can select a cat for you.You will receive information and a photo of your special friend. Sponsorship can be designated in someone's name as a gift or as a memorial tribute. For more information email patchfundafeline@gmail.com P.A.T.C.H. does not euthanize to make space for new cats or kittens. We are limited by law as to the

number that can be housed.. We have several Sanctuary Cats who are permanent residents because of age, medical needs or other concerns. We have no paid employees but rely on dedicated volunteers to help with cat care, cleaning and shelter

maintenance. This involves doing a weekly shift either in the morning or the evening as the cats need attention twice daily. If you cannot commit to this labor of love, volunteers are also needed in other areas such as fostering, socializing, fundraising andmarketing. Fostering involves caring for cats or kittens until they can be admitted into the shelter. Food and medical fees are provided by the shelter during foster care. If you can volunteer in any capacity, please email patchvolcoordinator@gmail.com. Every attempt ismade to provide a stress-free environment for our shelter cats. Freedomand play time are

provided twice a day when volunteers are present for supervision. There is also a Freedom Schedule during the day and overnight so that cats that get along are free to explore and play without human interference. P.A.T.C.H. is a private shelter receiving no local, county, state or federal funds. We rely on the kindness and

generosity of individuals and the community to keep our doors open, provide shelter, food and medical care to our cats and kittens. We are a registered non-profit tax exempt organization- 501(c) (3). All donations are tax deductible as allowed by law. Fundraisers are held periodically and community support is vital and appreciated. Income is also generated throughAmazon Smile and IGive, so please consider this when doing online shopping. Donations may be made via Paypal on our website www.patchcatsnj.com or on Facebook. We realize there are many animal rescues vying for donations but be assured, every dollar donated to

P.A.T.C.H. is used to benefit our cats, not for salaries or administrative costs. If you are considering adopting a feline friend, please visit our shelter. You won't be disappointed. Check Petfinder and our website for listing of adoptable kitties.

Arielle, a sweet orange tabby, born in September 2018, entered P.A.T.C.H with her brotherAxel. He was quickly adopted because he was outgoing and people-friendly. Arielle, although she got along with other kitties, was very shy and fearful of humans. To helpArielle become a more confident and trusting kitty, a devoted volunteer took her home to socialize her, a major role in fostering. With attention and love from her foster parents,Arielle returned to the shelter more trusting of humans.and ready for a quiet, forever home she can call her own.Arielle is spayed, current on vaccinations and microchipped. Please come to visit her at P.A.T.C.H. 26 LakesideAvenue, Pompton Lakes during adoption hours noon to 2 on Saturday or Sunday. For a special appointment call 973-835-7202 or email patchcatinfo@yahoo.com Become a volunteer!
