( SHOW REPORT ) Charity Dressage


At Manor Farm, Whitfield, Northamptonshire On Friday 3rd May 2019


Filthy weather for the first of the series of six Friday evening dressage events but we had plenty of people who braved the weather anyway. All ages of human and horse attended and as usual the children were hard to beat! The ground was a bit slippy, but it had been prepared for the show jumping at the 2-day BE event run 2 weeks ago so at least the water went into the ground. Once again Paul Buddin (Simple Photo Shots) braved the weather and took lovely photographs right to the last competitor battling rain and darkness!


Winners were: Olivia Wilks on Sausage Intro A, Yasmin Barker on Majestic Mick Intro B and Prelim 7, Archie Chaplin on his Spudley Intro C, Pippa Tunstall on Batman Prelim 14 and 18, Felicity Scroggie on Thorny Prospect Novice 28.


Some nice young horses having a first outing all behaved well considering. We welcome everyone here at Whitfield but particularly like to offer a quiet open space for young horses to get used to going to a party and novice riders where no pressure applied.
