THE ADVENTURES OF GINNY W

www.1stclassimages.com

ell, where to begin.. Since my last interview with CHN and their amazing article that Charley Snowdon kindly wrote, I have very much been here there and everywhere.. From Eventing at Chatsworth International CCI4*S, on to Rockingham then a spot of Show Jumping at Bicton arena with 5 horses, followed by the most epic weekend at Bramham International with 2 horses. It’s all pretty crazy at this time of year, with preparing the young horses for their events and very much the future in mind.

I have a number of BE100 horses that are showing huge potential, which is really exciting. They have already secured a number of placings including; Confession Time, a 5yo placing 2nd at Shelford and qualifying for the 5yo Championships at Osberton International at the end of the season.

Then we have the lovely novice horses which are further on in their career and looking at aiming for CCI** mid Season at Hartpury International. Included in this, is the lovely 6yo Stallion Interlaken W. He has a few more MER to achieve and will be on route hopefully to his first international.

Then we have the more established horses; Undalgo De Windsor who after his amazing performance at Bramham this weekend in the CCI4*L will next head to Barbury and all going to plan on to Burghley 5*. Trendy Captain Clover stormed around the CCI4*S adding his 2nd double clear at this level to his CV. He will now head to Barbury followed by Blenheim CCI4*. In amongst the eventing excitement, a trip down to Devon for the May spectacular with the show jumpers. Silver Lining X was jumping in the Foxhunter 2nd round; he was on great form and embraced the huge atmosphere. An unlucky pole in the big class, but a great experience, and he will have learnt a lot from the trip as well as jumping in the different rings. Also jumping in their 2nd round competitions was Echo P and Lolletta in the Newcomers. The first time for them both in such a big

grass arena, not to mention the big fences and their first time over an open water jump. They both took everything in their stride, and although not competitive for the final they too will come out stronger next time!

My 6yo homebred Time To Cavort was fantastic over all of the

days, jumping a double clear every day in every class. As a result, he qualified for the 6yo final in the main arena. We went for a steady double clear and he felt brilliant. Lastly, the Italian born and bred Tango Blu. He began his show at

Discovery and finished by jumping his first Foxhunter. I hope you have enjoyed reading the goings on at GHE over the last few weeks, hopefully in my next blog I can report on the latest arrival of next generation eventer or show jumper as I await the arrival of my foal.
