Winter School Games Events 2018/19 Panathlon Challenge
The Panathlon Challenge runs ‘mini Paralympic’ multi-sport events, providing the opportunity for competitive sport to thousands of disabled young people every year.
This year, 80 pupils from 4 schools competed in the Panathlon Challenge in Wiltshire. Held at Marlborough College, the day consisted of 6 events: boccia, polybat, table cricket, new age kurling, athletic field events, and athletics races.
16 sports leaders from Marlborough College made sure the day ran smoothly and did an excellent job with umpiring and scoring.
All the pupils worked really hard and embodied the six School Games values throughout the day. The overall winners were the pupils from Fairfield Farm College who went on to compete at the regional final where they came a very close second. Well done to all!
Thank you to Marlborough College for hosting this event again.
Sixty different schools qualified for Level 3 events in the winter programme
These county finals took place from November- May 2019 and involved over 900 young athletes, 58 sports leaders, and a lot of medals!
