World Class Sport comes to Tunbridge Wells


Your local Royal Tunbridge Wells Croquet Club in Calverley Grounds is hosting part of the WCF Simon Carter Golf Croquet World Championship from Saturday 27th July to Friday 2nd August, with the remainder at other clubs in Sussex.


80 players from 20 countries will be playing the exciting fast-paced game of Golf Croquet. The two largest contingents are from England and Egypt, both with 16 players, third largest is the USA with 8 players.


Come and see if Ahmed Nasr from Egypt will regain his title,


Reg Bamford from South Africa successfully defend it or perhaps


an English player win it for the fi rst time!


12 players will be in Tunbridge Wells each day, with matches starting at 9:30am and continuing through the afternoon, except for the afternoon of Wednesday 31st.


Spectators are welcome and admitted on purchase of a Championship Programme (£5).


The fi nal will be held at the Sussex County Croquet Club in Southwick on Sunday 4th August.


If you don’t know how to play we’re running a special one day course on Saturdays 20th July and 10th August, cost £20 per person. You can book online through our website.
