Medicine Hat Regional Hospital not only offers services for residents of the city but also to a large rural population in the region.
There are 28 beds in the emergency department, 108 medical and surgical beds, 10 beds in pediatrics and 10 in the intensive care unit.
The mental health unit provides 31 beds and there are 30 beds in the geriatric assessment and rehabilitation unit.
In the maternity wing there are 14 beds plus six in the neonatal intensive care unit.
The Margery E. Yuill Cancer Centre is located within the hospital.
Services at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital include: diagnostic, rehabilitation, obstetrics, pediatrics, psychiatry, internal medicine, mental health, various care/clinic services, critical care, clinical support services including pharmacy, social work and nutritional services.
