Technological Innovations Group (TIG) has announced the appoint- ment of Alain Solomon to the position of Regional Sales Director, South West Europe and North West Africa.

AVIXA, the Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Asso- ciation, has announced that Sarah Joyce will become the association's next Chief Global Officer, taking over from Ter- ry Friesenborg, who will retire at the end of the year. Sarah comes to AVIXA after nearly 12 years at Electrosonic Ltd., most recently as Managing Direc- tor. She and Friesenborg will manage jointly AVIXA's global operations for the remainder of 2019 to ensure a smooth transition.

"I am delighted to be joining AVIXA," Sarah said. "I have long admired how the associa- tion has evolved and developed over the years, particularly in its expansion of member ser- vices and international growth. Around the world, the AV in- dustry comprises many types of organizations delivering a va- riety of solutions and services -- we are a broad and powerful community. I look forward to

working with AVIXA's talent-

ed staff and global partners to help our industry harness innovation, further encourage diversity, and grow the market for audiovisual experiences and the people who create them." In her position as AVIXA Chief Global Officer, Sarah will over- see all the association's activ- ities outside North America, including member services, education and certification delivery, standards adoption, government relations, and ex- positions. In addition, she will sit on the boards of Integrated Systems Events, InfoCommA- sia Pte Ltd, and TecnoMultime- dia InfoComm, as well as other regional operating units. ment. He will be responsible for managing global sales and marketing as a key part of PK's executive management team, providing valuable insight and experience to guide future growth, products and expan- sion. PK Sound CEO Jeremy Bridge cites Freudenberg's ex- perience in helping to grow the brand footprint of other speaker manufacturers globally, as well as his in-depth familiarity with the latest technologies, as key reasons for bringing Freuden- berg on board.

“Paul was instrumental in grow- ing L-Acoustics in the Americas and continued that success at Rat Sound," Bridge said. "Hav- ing helped grow one of our in- dustry's premier loudspeaker companies, it’s a natural fit. The fact that PK has a truly differentiating new technol- ogy has a number of parallels with

Paul's previous success

stories. Paul is also extremely well-respected in the field and he exemplifies the type of pro- fessional and personal culture we have at PK.”

After starting his career in the 1980s as a recording studio technician in the Los Angeles area, Freudenberg transitioned into sales and marketing for Pro Audio equipment manufactur-

ers. He cultivated his expertise in recording, live sound design, and deployment, as well as dig- ital audio and control network systems integration. "Music, sound and technology have always been at the core of my professional and personal pur- suits," Freudenberg said. "So, for me, a passion for music, a pursuit for sonic accuracy, and the application of engineering and technology-based solutions in a creative and collaborative environment is what my 'must have' list looks like. PK Sound ticked all of those boxes.” With Freudenberg's eye for companies on the cutting edge of live sound technology, the move to PK Sound bodes well for the company's growing am- bitions. "As I observe the ev- er-advancing leaps in the tech sector that are being promoted to our personal and profession- al world, I am on the alert for individuals or companies who demonstrate a keen insight, or an edge in the application and innovation of these emerging technologies. It seems clear that the road forward will in- clude innovation that will make complex tasks easier and more efficient, while providing mea- surable improvement to the state-of-the-art.” “PK is poised for growth and has the engineering resources to bring new solutions to ex- isting and future challenges,"
