LIVE 24-SEVEN

So is this something that you’re going to pursue in between album campaigns? Who knows? I mean, I don’t know. It’s the start of doing something I’ve never done before; if it’s the last time I do it, I can always say that I’ve voiced over an animated TV show. It’s something you can always go back to. If I get to do it again., obviously I would love to. We’ll see what happens.

Do you still enjoy working on The Voice? What keeps bringing you back to the show? I love it! The Voice is fantastic. The reason, why I’m so passionate about it is, obviously with where I came from being from the X Factor, the opportunity to help and guide someone in this industry and help change their lives is just something I would love to give to someone else. This opportunity of doing The Voice; every time I’m there I just get so excited. It’s the best show to be a part of and I love being there, so I’m really, really enjoying it this season. This season has been our best season. Everyone’s loving it. The reactions have been fantastic online and all the papers have been loving it, so we’re really excited.

So hopefully you’ll be back again next year? I hope so, yeah. I’m really enjoying it and I think The Voice bosses and everyone seems to like me on it, so hopefully I’ll be back on it again next year. But we haven’t even finished this year yet, so hope- fully I’ll win this year.

How do you find the time to fit so much in? Is there anything left you want to do?

I’ve been very lucky. It’s been a great 9-months since I released the new album and all these things have been happening. At the moment I’m just excited to finish the tour and enjoy the summer. Enjoy some time away and see what happens. The Voice UK Tour is obviously coming up. There are so many amazing things in the entertainment industry that I would love to do. Acting is always something that I’ve been interested in at some point. Everything has been great, so I can’t complain.

Any musical styles that you would like to try next? I think I’ve covered different styles. I did a song called ‘Up’ and that had a very country sort of vibe to it with the way that it was written, with the guitars, it just kind of felt like that. But I always do different things all the time. I mean, listen, I think me going and doing a rock album is not going to work. I think I’ve got my lane! I think that’s what people like about me and I’ll continue to do that lane in my music.

The Tour finishes in Gloucester at the beginning of June. What’s the plan for the rest of the summer? I don’t know at the moment. I’ll spend some time at home, enjoy some time with my friends and family and enjoy the summer. I hope that it’s going to be a good one this year. We’ll see what happens. I’m really excited about the future, not knowing what’s going to be happening. I’m going to enjoy this album, finish the tour and then see what happens next.
