Membership Committee The purpose of the Membership Committee is to identify strategies to increase membership and to serve TALHFA members in the best possible way. Committee members help to identify potential members and suggest marketing strategies & ma- terials. Committee members also help to identify possible benefits and new services for TALHFA members.


Conference Planning Committee The Conference Planning Committee helps to identify topics, speakers, events, exhibits and sponsorships for the annual event. The committee is responsible for increasing attendance and sponsorship. If necessary, the committee members may be asked to provide assistance during the conference.


Legislative Committee The Legislative Committee members work with the membership on legislative issues to define TALHFA’s position on those issues. The committee members are often asked to make Capitol visits to communicate information about TALHFA and our membership. All TALHFA Board members are on this committee in addition to any other volunteer members.


Nominating Committee The nominating committee meets to identify the slate of candidates for the Board of Directors Election each year. Addi- tionally, the committee meets to determine a recommended slate of officers for the Board each January. The Chair of this committee is automatically the Immediate Past President of the Board of Directors.


Awards Committee The Awards Committee meets to establish the categories, process, and criteria for TALHFA Achievement Awards. They also evaluate the award submissions and select the recipients for each of the Annual TALHFA Awards.
