Alternate Sundays (12th and 26th) from 10.30am – 12.30pm we will be hosting Sociable Sundays.

join others for refreshments and conversation. All adults welcome. We will be planning some outings, come and make some suggestions!


Monday 20th May from 2pm - 4.30pm. Board Games Café. Please join us for a fun and sociable afternoon, with nearly 40 board and card games to choose from, as well as refreshments and a raffle ticket. Entry £1.50 All funds support the Library. Want to de-clutter your home,


or offer a service? Remember the display board in the library window, useful for clearing items or requesting them! It costs £1 for a week or £1.50 for two weeks. Monday from 10am -12pm, local writer & publisher Tom Corbett runs a creative writing group at the library. A parallel group is held on

along and enjoy some company and songs. Tuesday mornings we have a support session for using Laptops and iPads from 9.45am - 10.45am at £5 per session. We can also book one-to-one sessions at £15 per hour. Want to meet new people? Alternate Tuesday afternoons, 2pm – 4pm we have “Crafty Companions” a small informal group who meet and share craft projects. If you’re not a crafter, we have “Mindfulness Colouring” on the alternate Tuesdays - colouring materials provided. On Wednesdays from 10.30am - 12pm we host “Time Out” sessions. May 8th,“Remembering Ivan”. Please share your memories of the work of much missed historian Ivan Sparkes who did so much to record the past life of our town. May 15th: “Tortoises” Jackie Richardson will be bringing her little friends to meet us! May 22nd: Felicity Jeliff, local author will be talking about the work of her mother (who wrote for Mills and Boon) as well as her own writing. May 29th: “Cruising beyond the Arctic Circle” Irene will be sharing her memories of life aboard, and her experience of the Northern Lights. Many thanks to all of you who make this such a wonderful group. On Thursday mornings (when the Library is otherwise closed) we have fitness classes suitable for all abilities. 9.30am - 10.15am Get Fit in your Chair - the class includes cardio and strength movements, followed by Stretch and Tone 10.30am -11.30am a class of gentle fitness exercises. £4 per session. On the second Saturday of the month (May 11th), 10am - 11am, your local county councilor Tony Goldson holds a drop-in surgery. On Sundays, 12pm -2.30pm we have free craft activities and stories for children. Drop in and join in the fun. All ages are welcome but under 8s must be accompanied. Every other Sunday (May 5th and 19th), 10am - 11am we have kids Lego Club. £1 per builder.
