Hello World! We are the Gophers of Torrington, Alberta!


Planning a vacation to beautiful Alberta? Well, you are starting at the right place! Every year since 1996 when we set up permanent residence at 208 1 Street South, thousands of tourists have stopped by Torrington annually to marvel at the things us gophers can do.


Our “Dioramas” page features a slide show of our favorite activities, some of which you may not have seen before. We gophers are a resilient species and are constantly adapting to new conditions and learning new skills.


The “Gopher Friends” section of our website gopherholemuseum.ca is where we give a shout-out to some of our favorite visitors who thought enough about their trip to Torrington to document their experiences on their own blogs and websites. These are very enlightened humans indeed, so we’ve provided links to their sites so that you can read their points of view.
