Things to consider when


selecting a venue! These are the 4 most important factors:

Capacity: the number of guests you are inviting and the type of event you are planning (e.g. reception, buffet or sit down meal) will determine the size of venue you require.


Location: Your venue should be accessible to all your guests. Will your service providers have trouble getting to your venue?


Availability: Before you contact a venue or event planner, identify several possible dates for your event. Remember if you want your event held in your favourite location, you may need to be flexible with your date.


Budget: Your budget will have a major impact on narrowing down a shortlist of venues. At this stage it’s hard to know what the final cost will be, but the venue will be able give you a ballpark figure per head for certain elements.
