Budget

We can’t stress enough how important it is to budget your money. The following are some general guidelines of expenses typically covered by the groom.

Rehearsal Dinner: All expenses from flowers to food.

Rings: The bride’s engagement ring and the wedding rings.

Gifts: A wedding gift for the bride (this is not an absolute, but it’s a nice tradition that lets her know how special she really is). The gift should have a sense of timelessness to it.

Flowers: The bride’s bouquet, corsages for immediate family members and boutonnieres for your attendants.

Clothing: Your tuxedo, and accessories for your attendants if they are not included with their outfits.

Lodging & Transportation: Accommodations for out-of-town groomsmen and yourself. Transportation for you and your groomsmen to the ceremony and the same for your parents.

Paperwork: It is generally thought that the groom is responsible for the cost of the marriage license and the official’s fee.

Honeymoon: The whole thing is your responsibility - make it a time you’ll never forget.
