After attending an industry event such as the DATIA Annual Conference, what is your process for implementing what you have learned and connecting with the industry colleagues you met?
Aſter atending conferences and networking events like DATIA, one of the best ways to follow up with prospects and existing friendships is to send out personal emails to each. Tese emails can be set up as a template first, you can then customize each email to your liking. Another thing that has worked for me is sending a mass email to everyone I have met saying “thank you”. Within that email I can include information about my company and services that we provide. It’s like killing two birds with one stone. Not only do they remember the conversations we had, but also get insight about what we do as a company. Lastly, I would say that LinkedIn is crucial as well. Creating a post regarding the conference with hashtags helps you reach out to your list of contacts within LinkedIn. Overall, email and LinkedIn are great ways to get your message across to prospects and existing relationships.

Why did you decide to join DATIA? I wanted to have a resource that I could call or email about the drug industry’s new laws and policies.
What has been your favorite membership benefit since being a part of DATIA?
I love it every time I get a call from a new client who tells me that they found me on DATIA’s website!
Tell us about your company and your role there.
We are a mobile drug testing service. Our goal is to help companies maintain the integrity of their drug testing program by testing onsite and reducing the nonproduction time lost by employees. I am the owner.
Is there anything about your company you wish people knew about? What makes the services you provide unique?
We try to help companies maintain a safe environment for both the employees and the employer by consulting on safety issues.
What are you most excited about experiencing at this year’s DATIA Conference in Chicago?
Meeting new people in the industry and geting new ideas.
While in Chicago, what are you most looking forward to experiencing from the city itself?
