What does CBD yoga mean? Prior to class, each participant
is given a sample trio of CBD products to apply to their skin. The samples are in re-sealable containers and you can reapply as needed throughout the class or take them home. Our massage therapists will provide mini CBD massages during an extended savasana. CBD yoga is $20 and the next event will be held on April 27th. We also offer a variety of CBD products for you to take home including oils, roll-ons, and even CBD bath bombs.

Human papilloma virus, or HPV, is a family of DNA viruses that IS highly communicable and has been indicted and found guilty of causing a variety of wart-appearing oropharyngeal (mouth and throat) cancers, many of which are potentially fatal, or at minimum disfiguring. Significantly, most affected individuals may not even know they have been infected, and the associated cancers are virtually asymptomatic. The detection of HPV in the oral cavity uses a relatively inexpensive non-invasive salivary DNA test. However, there are no available high tech tests available for detecting the HPV caused oropharyngeal cancers. In 2018, the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) reported that about 70% of oropharyngeal cancers are caused by oral HPV infection. At this time there are effective vaccines (Gardasil (R), Gardasil 9 (R), and Cervarix(R)) to prevent cervical and oral infection by a group of HPV strains, but as of this writing, there have been no studies to show that the vaccine also prevents the associated oropharyngeal cancers. Additionally, there have been no long-term studies to rule out adverse long term effects, especially immune system or chronic disease effects.

Even though it has FDA approval, the ramification of taking the anti-HPV vaccine has its own risks; immediate untoward individual immune reactions, but also long term and as yet un- known side effects. Therefore, the best and only sure fire way to prevent and avoid the disastrous problems associated with HPV infection is to avoid getting the virus in the first place. Yes, unfortunately, abstinence.
