PUBLISHER'SLETTER W
e are all made up of energy and vibration and everything we do from our work, physical exercise, personal and professional relation-
ships, social events requires energy. But we often fail to realize the critical role of energy in our lives. Without the right quality, focus and forces of energy, we will become compromised in any activity we undertake. It is sad to see the immense amount of human and corporate potential wasted due to the misuse of energy. Unhealthy eating habits, lack of exercise, negativity, sarcasm, unfocused
goals and strategies are all contributing factors to energy loss.
The happiest and most productive people have the unique ability to both engage fully with maximum energy in regards to their goals and tasks and then disengage fully from time to time. This period of disengagement allows for refl ection and renewal of energy stores. They understand that they are free to cut loose those things in their life - relationships, situations, activities, habits and obligations - that drain their energy. As these high-maintenance, unwanted elements are eliminated, they free up their most valuable talents and fi nd themselves surrounded by an environment that supports and boosts their energy.
This reclaimed energy makes it possible for you to grow your career or business tremendously, dramatically improve the quality of your life, and create a lifestyle that supports personal and professional success and happiness. Every time you increase the energy you have to devote to more rewarding uses, you also increase the value of your life to you and the people around you.
However, many of us are in situations that are overwhelmingly negative and we are not in a position to get out of them right now. How do you walk away from a parent that always sees the glass as half empty or treats you like a child? How do you leave a negative relationship that you’ve already invested years in? What if you love your job but are surrounded by negative coworkers? These are valid questions and situations that we sometimes fi nd ourselves in and wonder how we can manage our energy.
Here are my tried and true tips:
1. Have a regular spiritual or meditation practice where you can quiet the mind, get away from the world and focus on what’s positive in your life.
2. Spend as little time as possible with the negative people in your life. Only do what is absolutely necessary as far as communicating and interacting with them.
3. Keep a list of positive affi rmations with you at all times. After an interaction with a negative individual, pull out your list and remind yourself what you love about you to help remove any negativity you may have absorbed.
4. Consider if you can get out of the negative situation like a job or relationship. Write out the pros and cons and discuss with a friend or professional.
We all have far more control over our energy than we realize. We can choose
every moment of every day how we will respond to certain situations and whether that response will be positive or negative. The ultimate measure of our lives is not how long we live, but rather how we are able to manage our energy in the time we are each given.
