AWARDS FINALISTS KENNEDY’S PHARMACY

RASHARKIN In addition to state-of-the-art, newly-refurbished premises, local patient care at Kennedy’s Pharmacy has also been enhanced by the increase in the number of services that are now on offer to patients. This has resulted in growth of the business, with new patients engaging with the pharmacy and availing of both the additional services and the day-to-day services that are always on offer.

BANNSIDE PHARMACY

PORTGLENONE Now established for almost 60 years, the team at Bannside Pharmacy are very aware of their very important healthcare role in supporting the local community. As such, the pharmacy is involved in a wide range of initiatives, such as the Portglenone Diabetes Partnership, a sports nutrition programme and complementary treatments, as well as the provision of the routine services, such as substitute dispensing.

MCKEEVERS PHARMACY

FIVEMILETOWN The team at McKeevers Chemist in Fivemiletown have an average of 20 years’ service to the local community and, as such, have great insight to the needs of their patients, identifying vulnerable patients and going the extra mile to support them. The team is heavily involved in health promotion activities and these provide the opportunity to engage with the notoriously hard-to-reach rural male patients.

HUGHES PHARMACY

ENNISKILLEN Established in 1955, Hughes Pharmacy is the central ‘hub’ of the community for all healthcare needs, and has cared for generation upon generation of the same families. The pharmacy is centred on the provision of a holistic and individual service, but, in addition pharmacy services, contractor Paul Hughes is heavily involved in bringing the pharmacy agenda to the fore to assist it in its current difficulties.
