Do you know anyone who is housebound and would appreciate getting library books delivered to them at home? RVS volunteers take books out to people every three weeks, completely free of charge. This service could also apply to you if you are temporarily housebound after an operation, for example, or if you are a full time carer for someone else. Please phone the library and speak to Lisa or Jane for more details.

Rhyme Time continues to take place all year round on Wednesday afternoons, from 2.15-2.45pm. This session is a mix of rhymes with a short story aimed at preschool children and their parents/grandparents/ carers. Why not come along and give it a try? It’s a lot of fun for both children and adults!

Lego Club is every Friday, from 3.45-4.45pm. It’s a drop in session, so no need to book.

Our Reminiscence Session for January is on Wednesday 16th, from 10.15-10.45am and the theme is transport. This takes place during the Friends of Upton Library’s coffee morning and so there are hot drinks available and friendly chat. They also have a mini book sale in the lobby during the coffee morning. This is open to all.

Have you had an iPad or a tablet for Christmas? Would you like help to learn how to use it? Or would you like help in learning to access the internet? Our Library has Digital Champions who can help you. John will have sessions on Tuesdays 8th and 22nd January, from 9.30am-12.30pm. Spaces are free, but must be booked.

Have you made any New Year’s resolutions? To travel more, to learn a new skill, to lose weight or stop smoking? We have books that can help you with that. Look at our online catalogue at www.librarieswest. org.uk or ask the staff during your next visit.
