CargoLogicAir (CLA), the UK’s only maindeck cargo airline, is marking another year of growth with the delivery of its fourth Boeing 747 freighter. The latest 747-400ERF joins the airline’s fleet on an operating lease and will initially be used to meet

CEVA Logistics has appointed Serge Corbel as new CFO as of Oct 15. Corbel has been in the logistics industry for more than 30 years. His last employer was CMA-CGM, where he worked for more than 25 years. Corbel was one of the key financial architects of the growth of CMA-CGM, leading several acquisitions and integrations, NOL and APL being the most recent ones. During his last position at CMA-CGM, he was CFO of APL, a CMA-CGM company, based in Singapore.


The Carbon Trust has validated the methodology and processes that Agility uses to generate carbon footprint reports for logistics customers. The Carbon Trust’s assurance allows Agility to demonstrate that its carbon reporting methodology and processes comply with the organization’s reporting guidance for transparency and accuracy. To receive assurance, Agility developed a methodology to ensure the accurate monitoring, quantifying and reporting of CO2 emissions data from the movement of customer cargo. This methodology was audited extensively and approved by the Carbon Trust, and it has now been incorporated into Agility’s carbon reporting processes.


Global logistics specialist Tigers is supporting the export of South African wine to Germany and the USA by streamlining the B2B supply chain for Anthonij Rupert Wyne through end-to-end solutions. Tigers is working with Anthonij Rupert Wyne, based in Franschhoek, South Africa, by providing warehouse facilities and transporting their inventory direct from South Africa to Germany, and across certain states in the USA.


WCA and ASC Associates Ltd announced a strategic partnership designed to enhance WCA’s continuing commitment for compliance and logistical innovation in the pharmaceutical sector. WCA Pharma selected ASC for its one-day Good Distribution Practice (GDP) training course for their Pharma GDP Training held at the World Specialty Logistics Fair in Bangkok, Thailand. ASC’s suite of training includes GDP for Medicinal Products, which has been designed for the logistics industry to enhance compliance within the supply chain. Working in partnership, ASC will offer their expertise in GDP and supply chain security to WCA members.


Saraiva, Brazil’s largest online retailer, has chosen CEVA Logistics to support the ongoing expansion of its distribution network in South-East Brazil. From its multi-user warehouse at Extrema in the Minas Gerais municipality, CEVA Logistics will be able to introduce faster working and delivery practices to Saraiva and its customers in the region.


DB Schenker and Einride launched the installation for the first commercial use of a T-pod – an all-electric, autonomous truck – at a DB Schenker facility in Jönköping, central Sweden. The T-pod will travel continuously to and from a warehouse, paving the way for a sustainable transition of road freight transportation.
