In a month when there were no huge leaps in share prices by companies based in the region, Sinclair Pharma – the international aesthetics company – took top honours with a 13% rise in September.

It announced unaudited interim results for the six months to June showing headline growth of 6% in revenues to £21.3 million, with ex-US revenues up 18% on a constant currency basis.

Sales during April and June totalled £0.8m, which was ahead of management’s expectations. The company also reported the successful formation of a new direct sales operation in the US.

Topping the list of large

companies in the area was Sky (up 12%), whose headquarters is based near Hounslow.

Apart from the headline takeover speculation during the summer, which ended in US giant Comcast gaining control, Sky also managed to announce several additions to its customer services.

The Netflix app was launched on NOW TV streaming devices, meaning viewers can now easily watch all their favourite shows in one place, and hop between NOW TV blockbusters like A Discovery of Witches, The Walking Dead and Patrick Melrose, and Netflix Originals such as The Crown, Stranger Things and Queer Eye.
