commercial property Jonathan Prince joins Savills to oversee new valuation offer

Savills Development has expanded its team in Reading to offer valuation as a new service line. Jonathan Prince has been appointed as associate director and will be joined by associate, Richard Viney, who has relocated from Savills Oxford. The move will augment the firm’s offer to the local property market, which already spans planning, development, worldwide occupier services, residential development sales and residential lettings.

RICS registered valuation expert Prince has more than a decade of experience in both residential and commercial property. He joins Savills from JLL’s residential development and investment valuation team in central London.

Prince will work alongside RICS registered Tom Lindley and Richard Viney. Lindley, a director at Savills, has worked for the firm since 2000 and oversees the firm’s valuation offer across the wider Thames Valley and Oxfordshire regions. His specialist experience includes valuation for secured lending, taxation, expert witness and development appraisals. Lindley will be based between the Reading and Oxford offices. Viney who lives near Reading has worked for Savills for more than five years,

with experience spanning the valuations sector, covering commercial and residential loan security valuation and development appraisals.

The team will focus on building on its track record of valuation consultancy and services in the thriving local market. It will work with a wide variety of clients, including major banks, specialist real estate debt finance and private equity providers, developers, investors, local authorities and other institutions.

Prince commented: “Until now Savills has serviced the valuation needs of clients from our offices in Oxford, Guildford and London. However with the pace and scale of new development in Reading and the wider Thames Valley as it is, now is the right time to establish a permanent local presence. I’m delighted to be a part of what I am confident will become one of the area’s leading valuations services, combining local knowledge with depth of experience.”

Ed Keeling, who heads up Savills development in Reading, comments: “We are delighted to grow our market- leading development team to include a dedicated valuations service and warmly

Jonathan Prince

welcome Jonathan and Richard to Reading. Tom and Richard have very successfully serviced our local market for a number of years from Oxford and now, with the addition of Jonathan, a well-respected valuation expert, we are excited about the opportunity to further develop our offer from our Reading office.”

The new valuation service will cover the Reading and Thames Valley development land, commercial and residential property sectors, backed up by the firm’s wider network of valuation experts in the Central and South East regions and across the UK.

1.2 MILLION ITEMS OF LAUNDRY

Every week CLEAN launders 1.2m items of linen from its new 42,000 sq ft “super laundry” on SEGRO’s Slough Trading Estate.

CLEAN chose the state-of-the-art building because of SEGRO’s flexible approach to fulfilling its needs and because its location meant significant reductions to both delivery times and fleet emissions.

When brilliant businesses find outstanding spaces, extraordinary things happen.
