MINI MARATHON at Avon Valley College

This was the tenth mini marathon held at Avon Valley College. Over 350 pupils participated in the 4 events - year 3/4 girls, year 3/4 boys, year 5/6 girls/ year 5/6 boy’s races and then the Key Stage 1 fun run with parents.

Disco Dion was on hand providing all the entertainment and helping with the warm ups. 23 students from AVC volunteered and helped in various roles - marshals, hares, car parking, selling programmes, photography, setting up and down the course. We also had help from STAR who also were the hares.

Presentations were made by Mr Johnston Principal at AVC and Mrs Evans the CEO of the Salisbury Plains Academy.
