Jess Pierce who organised young leaders from Abbeyfield School said

“the atmosphere was electric, and every child looked like they could not

be prouder to be at the games. My leaders loved being part of the athlete’s village and thought it brought loads of fun to the children.”

Bradon Forest teacher, Sarah Evans, commented – “The competitions were very well organised, the games makers very efficient and the athlete’s village at the start and end of the day was great fun! I can only imagine how much work goes into organising such an event but it is greatly appreciated.”

WASP CEO Steve Boocock said “The School Games are an opportunity to motivate and inspire young people across Wiltshire and Swindon to take part in more competitive school sport

and a chance to develop their sporting abilities. We want to encourage even more young people to get active and this is a great way to nurture new talent and build that lifelong love of sport.”

Alma Borthwick, organiser of the event, commented “The event gets better every year with more schools taking part not only in the sports competitions and by providing sports leaders. This year the message was about setting personal challenges and achieving one’s personal best.”
