£1mloowin couple plan early wedding

A SNODLAND couple can realise their dream of a new home after winning £1million on the lottery. Air conditioning engineer Mick

Tyler (35) andfiancée SarahHarmer (33) have been able to bring their wedding plans forward by a year and have reserved a newhouse. Instead of the modest three-bed-

roomed semi they had originally planned, they can nowafforda five- bedroomproperty. The couple won their fortune on

September 29. They did not cancel a planned holiday to Portugal, but made both of their big decisions while enjoying the autumn break. Mick said: “This is all so utterly

madandyet so flipping brilliant! For months, every evening we have been walking our dog Ralph past this development of beautiful homes, joking that ifwewon the lot- tery we’dmove there. And now we have, and nowwewill! “Yesterday, we were picking the

flooring and kitchen cupboards for a lavish five-bedroom detached

dream home, two weeks ago we were choosing new wallpaper for our three-bed semi!” He added: “I proposed to Sarah

on Christmas Eve, but in order to saveupfor thewedding, weweren’t going to getmarrieduntil June 2020. “While we were on holiday we

decided not towait, sowe called the venue to bring it forward and now wewill beMr andMrs almost a year sooner. “After that, I think we were on a

roll, so we called the developers who we’d seen building our dream house around the corner from our current home and decided to put a reserve onthat too.Thenwe sat back and enjoyed the Portuguese sun!” The couple’s lucky journey started

when Mick deposited £30 into his account at national-lottery.co.uk. Mickwas having dinner at a local

pubwith his family and sawthat he hadanemail fromTheNationalLot- tery. Showing it to hisdad, who said it was probably just a few quid, he left it until later. He added: “When we got home I

sawthat I’dwon £1m.” They are planning a trip to the

United States, but do not envisage giving upworking yet. Mick added: “In the future, we

might consider setting up our own business or investing in property.”
