Southampton struggles as boxes stack up


DP World said in late September that it was experiencing very high stack levels in Southampton which was affecting

plans for Thameside superhub


Thames Enterprise Park, a joint venture between fuel firm Greenergy and property developer iSec, has submitted an outline planning application to Thurrock Council for a new 5m sq ſt ‘superhub’ on the former Coryton Oil Refinery site, close to DP World London Gateway port. The largest part of the site


would be a dedicated Food Hub bringing together processing, packaging,


storage and distribution. Highly automated


warehouses of up to a million sq ſt would be available. The developers say that the site


would also be an ideal location for renewable fuel and energy producers and the park will also include a Sustainable Industries Hub for small and medium sized businesses to research and develop new technologies and techniques for the energy and food logistics industries.
