New additions to Kährs wood flooring samples

A number of wood flooring samples have joined the selection at the Kährs Design Studio in London. Additions to the sampling include Kährs' new scandi inspired whitewashed oak designs, Nouveau Lace and Harmony Shell, which join the Kährs range this year as Scandinavian influenced flooring, decor and soft furnishings continue in popularity. Also joining the sampling is a new timeless French Pattern design, recently shortlisted in the 'International Design & Architecture Awards' for Best Hard Flooring. The new design benefits from a 'ready-to-install' format and is available in two colours, a golden natural brown 'Castello Rovere' and a rich, smokey tone 'Castello Fumo'. The Kährs Design Studio is in the heart of London's architectural and interior design community, Clerkenwell. Located at 5 Albemarle Way, with a roof terrace overlooking St John's Priory, the studio showcases over 200 large Kährs engineered wood flooring samples - ranging from clean boards to expressive, rustic designs. Specification appointments and CPD’s can be booked between 9am and 5pm at the Kährs Design Studio by calling the Kährs office.

Stertil Dock Products has designed, manufactured and installed a scissor lift to ensure safe handling operations for one of the UK’s leading retailers at its store in Brixton. The 1500kg capacity electro-hydraulic scissor lift is used to transport a variety of roll cages, garment rails and plastic dollies between a goods receiving area and the shop floor. One of the biggest challenges to be overcome was the extremely confined space within which the lift was installed. As a result, the lift was delivered to the store as a set of components, which were then assembled on site by Stertil’s installation engineers. Although the distance between the two levels is less than a metre, Stertil Dock Products was commissioned to ensure that the lift’s design and operation complied with stringent Health & Safety regulations. The adjacent control panel incorporates up/down push buttons plus a hi-vis emergency stop button which is replicated by another installed on the lift. In addition, the lift’s doors and sides are fully enclosed to prevent hands and feet becoming trapped.
