Let the Community News share Your News

WE hope you enjoy your month- ly copy of the Community News. The mix of local advertising and articles is what makes the Com- munity News interesting and useful. With hundreds of local businesses advertising every month this is the first place to check, whether you are looking for a plumber or somewhere to go for a nice meal out. Many of the articles in the

paper are written by our in-house team. However, we welcome con- tributions from local clubs, groups, schools, charities and readers. In short, let the Commu- nity News share your news. If you are a sports club wanting to report your recent success or looking for new members then this is the place to be seen. Do you work for a local charity and organise fund- raising events? Again, this is the place to be. Local schools, churches, social groups and clubs are all invited to send their regular news and reports to us. Sadly it is not always possible

to include everything we are sent. Space and editorial deadlines can

be tight. However, we always do our best and what we don’t get in our paper we will try to get online (www.yourcommunitynews. co.uk) to give you some coverage. Our active social media feeds via Twitter and Facebook ensure we keep in touch with the local com- munities electronically as well as in print. The Community News is just

that. We are a community paper and we want to hear from you – the people who live in the towns and villages we cover. So whether you belong to a club or group, or would just like to write to us tell- ing us about somewhere you have been (perhaps a show at a local theatre, or a particularly good meal in one of the many pubs and restaurants in the area) then get in touch and we’ll spread the word. Please email your contributions to david.burns@micropress.co.uk Look forward to hearing from

you!
