Renaissance is an amateur chamber choir whose membership is drawn from the surrounding area. The choir has a special focus on music from the Renais- sance, a very rich chapter in creative his- tory, spanning from about 1450 to 1600, but also performs smaller-scale choral works from other periods including cho- ral music by contemporary composers. This is a choir whose members are all auditioned singers and there are possi- ble vacancies for experienced tenor and bass voices especially. receive a monthly Update with a diary of workshops etc coming up and in ad- dition information of other events as and when they are arranged. There are untu- tored (at a member’s home) and tutored (Mettingham Village Hall) art classes on Monday morning and afternoon. There is also a monthly untutored life drawing class on Sundays at the Fisher Theatre, an ideal location for this. We provide you with the opportunity to exhibit and sell art work with a small commission to cover expenses. Our social activities vary, eg to an exhi- bition or a talk and always followed by lunch or dinner to give you the chance to meet other members. We vary the loca- tions around the area, not just Bungay. You are welcome to bring your partner or friend or come by yourself, you will be most welcome.
