The Louvre is many things: an icon of the Parisian Right Bank, the largest and most-visited art museum in the world and, with its glass and metal Pyramide, a choice backdrop for Instagram- worthy selfi es. If modern art is more your cup of tea, don’t miss this stellar round-up of works from the 20th
and 21st centuries. From traditional paintings to urban photography and offbeat sculptures, the full spectrum of contemporary art is visited in this nearly 20,000-strong collection. This year marks the museum’s 30th anniversary and it’s being celebrated with a bang. Running until September 16, Consider the World #2 presents a wealth of works from different periods, prodding at the idea of utopias and tragedies across the globe, whilst there are also exhibitions dedicated to specifi c artists, including local photographer Valérie Jouve.
