AVENGERS: INFINITY
WAR 2018 Director:Anthony Russo and John Russo
Consumed by his imagining of a perfect universe, his selfish lust knows no
bounds.Convinced of his own righteousness, the teamface a battle that goes beyond physical; delving into the realms of broken morals and corrupted spirit. Rising against an enemy so strong inwill and wrongdoing; theAvengersmust forge an alliance that pushes themto the end of the earth – and themselves. With all that is good tearing at the seams, battle scars, beyond the surface, are the hallmark of this story. Bug-bears appear in some of the
deliberate dragging out of key scenes. creating superfluous suspense. Isn’t it enough to leave us with somany questionmarks?! Cryptic hints are the uber-fan’s dreamand not so helpful for newcomers; but that only encourages our engagementwith
thisworld.One area could have benefittedwith a ‘hand’ fromLOTR’s Isildur…
Rarely, has a superhero film
managed to conquest in such deeply emotional themes that touch the heart of humanity.Avengers: Infinity War, explores sociological themes and struggles of the psyche through characters sowell crafted, each personal affliction is palpable. Despite astronomical abilities, physique is – astonishingly - the weaker link as thismovie ismuch more than skin-deep. It’s personality and lovewhich provide the true strengthwithin the story; after all, spirit can never be crushed. As always, themovie packs a punchwith its tangy, ice-lemon refreshing conversation and humour that steers clear of ‘scripted’.With graphics so immersive, theywrite their own novel, a soulful soundtrack and scenes that linger; the overallmix is awesome.

#ThanosDemandsYourSilence … youmay have heard the hashtag campaign, ensuring that spoilers remain as none existent as the stars that encounter the big bad T - so thismonth is a particularly challenging review. What can I say?Well, I could tell you about the collision of good and bad so loud itwould blowQuill’s speakers; I could tell you about all of the “EPIC!” and the “AWESOME!” ormaybe I could just throwout a fewEggstra tasty “Easter Eggs” (that’s fan- speak for hidden gems) but that justwouldn’t beMarvel- lous ofme. So instead, here’s a vague yet not to be trifledwith - appreciation of themovie so heroic, it’s lifting theMarvel CinematicUniverse to new
heights.Boom.
