Milking technology debut for DeLaval at Dairy Day
Dairy specialists DeLaval will showcase their new VMS V300 milking robot and OptiDuo feed refresher for the first time at next month’s UK Dairy Day. The VMS V300 milking sys- tem boasts 99% teat spray hit rate, real quarter milking, 10% higher capacity than the model it replaces, lower running costs, up to 99.8% attachment rate, up to 50% faster attachment time and a potential of over 3,500kg of milk daily.
The system comes with
DeLaval InControl – a new user interface allowing remote access to information and control. It in- cludes the new PureFlow new transparent teat preparation cup and DeLaval InSight vision technology for a smooth, fast and accurate attachment. DeLaval president Joakim Rosengren said: “As a market leader, we have both an obliga-
tion and an opportunity to con- tribute to better milking practices in all parts of the world – directly aimed at helping farmers in their life, with their daily challenges.” Mr Rosengren added: “The de- sign of the new VMS V300 system has farmers and their challeng- es at its core, allowing farmers to do more with less. We are indeed very satisfied with the fantastic result achieved.” An all-inclusive customer pro- gramme offers servicing, consum- ables and advice for a fixed price. DeLaval says this enables farm- ers to focus on dairy farming with the assurance that the system’s performance is optimised every time they milk.
The OptiDuo ensures cows
always have access to refreshed feed. With its twin-spiralled ro- tating auger and adaptive drive function, all kinds of feed are repositioned onto the feeding

and stress at the feeding table. It can automatically handle dif- ferent amounts of feed as well as several feed types, including any kind of total mix ratio (TMR), straw, hay or fresh grass.
