UK Dairy Day
Show could be biggest yet, say organisers
• Jam-packed schedule and top exhibitors • World class speakers and livestock judges • Practical demonstrations and seminars
F
inal preparations are un- der way for next month’s UK Dairy Day event – and organisers hope the dedicated annual one-day dairy industry showcase will attract even more visitors than last year. Last year’s event attracted a record 8,422 visitors. Held in early autumn, when producers are making plans and decisions
for the coming winter, the 2018 event has additional signifi cance because it takes place just seven months before the UK is due to leave the European Union. With many questions about Brexit still unanswered, even more visitors than last year could fl ock to the free-to-attend event, which is due to take place on Wednesday, 12 September, at
the International Centre, Telford, Shropshire.
Full programme But organisers Holstein UK al- ready say there will be something for everyone at the 2018 event. It will include UK, European and in- ternational trade stands, practi- cal dairy-related demonstrations, a seminar programme and live- stock classes.
The full programme will be re- leased some time during mid-Au- gust, says UK Dairy Day spokes- woman Rachel Bowdler. It will include the National Brown Swiss Show, an excellent range of speakers and top cattle judg- es, including Angelo Pozzatti from Italy.
“Demand for trade stand space
has been fantastic and we have a diverse mix of over 300 business- es exhibiting. Like last year, en- try to the event is free, there is no ticket required – simply turn up at the entrance where you will be provided with a wristband prior to accessing the event.”
