Fathers ‘ultimate role
models’ says study! A new study has revealed that fathers are the ultimate role models for 77 per cent of Irish people - above celebrities and sports stars, and that more than two fifths of us (41 per cent) either want to, or already have, followed in our father’s footsteps. The survey of 2,000 men,
which was carried out by Gillette, found that over three quarters of Irish people say their father is who they look up to most; above celebrities, sports stars and film actors. It also revealed that aside from fathers, the most likely father figure would be mums (18 per cent), followed by brothers (fifteen per cent). The research also found that, while the typical view of the
best things we can do with our dad - such as watching sport (46 per cent) and getting a good family dinner down us (63 per cent) - may not have changed, it’s these activities which dads value the most.
