Modernmum 1
Editor’s September 2018
Next issue
At Modern Mum we always say that dads are just as important as mums, and in this fantastic summer issue, they’re taking centre stage! Comic Relief’s Mark Crooks’ new book, ‘Parenting: The Whole 9 Months’ is an insightful and often humorous for first-time dads and, on page 4, he gives us the male perspective on what goes on in the delivery suite. Twins can be a handful at the best of times, but spare a
thought for Susan Spence. Both of Susan's twin daughters suffer from heart problems. On page 12 Susan gives us her
inspirational story. Have you had a good look at our Modern Life section that we introduced a couple
of issues ago? We've certainly had a great response to this section and we're sure you'll love what this issue has to offer! Have you noticed how many of your favourite stores are featuring copper in their home décor ranges? We certainly have and we've brought you some of the best accessories on the market on pages 46 and 47. Fancy changing the look of your kitchen, but can’t afford to splash out? Check out our tips on page 39 for creating a new kitchen without breaking the bank. I hope you’re looking forward to what the summer holds for you and your family.
If you’re not heading off this year to far-off lands, check out our great new ‘what’s on’ section, which starts on page 56. You’re sure to find something that suits everyone there!
