indi Byrne and her Tex8n Polo team had a great start to the 2017 season –
winning the competitive, six-goal Spring Tournament. This new patron, who only joined Guards Polo Club in 2016, was adding her name to the trophy for the first time. They defeated Dr Anthony Donovan’s Los Alquimistas team 5-4 in a tight and fast-paced final. Twelve teams had taken part in this popular Club low-goal tournament – which always delivers some strong competition for our patrons early in the season, hence the strong number of entries. The sub final, featuring Jeremy Pemberton’s Conosco and
David Lewis’s Los Lobos, had been played earlier in the day. It was Conosco who took the honours in this match, defeating the blue shirts of Los Lobos 9-6.
