A retired U.S. Army offi cer and service- disabled veteran with 24 years of active military service, Jimenez founded MicroTech in March of 2004. It’s now one of the largest Hispanic-owned IT integrators in America.


Under his leadership, MicroTech services cover cloud computing, cybersecurity, telecommunications, mobility, and Big Data solutions. Jimenez has grown the business into a quarter-billion-dollar company with employees in more than 30 states supporting prime contracts with civilian and defense agencies as well as IT and network support to Fortune 500 companies.


He is also an advocate for the Latino, veteran, minority, and small business communities. He has also testifi ed before Congress and has drafted legislation to improve opportunities for small business owners. Additionally, he has met with the White House and senior advisers on jobs, educational opportunities, entrepreneurship, and the economy.


Jimenez serves or has served on infl uential public boards, including the U.S. Department of Commerce National Advisory Council on Minority Business Enterprise, Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, U.S.–Mexico Chamber of Commerce, the Harvard Journal of Hispanic Policy, the Partnership for a New American Economy, and the Board of Directors at the National Capitol Area Council (Boy Scouts of America).


Jimenez earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in computer and information systems from Webster University, a master’s degree in acquisition management from Florida Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Applied Science in business management from St. Mary’s University.


Hispanic Engineer & Information Technology magazine named Jimenez as one of the “Most Infl uential Hispanics in Technology” in 2011.

Andre Uribe is a co-founder of Power Grid Engineering. He has a leading role in developing new business for the company.


After serving four years in the U.S. Navy as a communication specialist, Uribe gained management, fi nancing, and marketing experience in entrepreneurial opportunities in South and Central Florida, where he also co-founded Horizon Trust, LLC. The company helped many families enjoy the dream of homeownership across Central Florida.


In 2004, Uribe graduated from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and accepted a position at Progress Energy (now Duke Energy), where he developed his engineering skills in the protection and control discipline.

With his new leadership role, he’ll serve as a resource to all attendees as well as all leaders of PSRC and its activities. He’ll also continue to volunteer his time to chair various working groups and develop best practices reports or guidelines for the power industry.
