News Drugs charge
A MAN has been charged by po- lice after three raids in the Maid- stone area unearthed a kilogramof what is thought to be cocaine. Joshua Hall (24), of Hampstead
Lane, Yalding, was one of three men arrested following the raids in Maidstone, Yalding and West Malling on Thursday,April 12, and Friday,April 13. Three kilos of suspected cutting
agents and £10,000 cash were also seized by officers from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Direc- torate. Hall is due to appear at Maid- stone Crown Court onMay 11.

Family’s stables burned down in a second aack
AFAMILY are devastated after sta- bles at the field where they keep their horses were destroyed for a second time. Peter Phelps, who is 82, has built
the facility himself twice, only for it to be struck by arsonists twice. He lives in Staplehurst with wife
Olive, daughter Victoria and her two-year-old daughter. The farm is in nearby Cranbrook, close to Mount EphraimFarm. MissPhelps said: “We are soupset
and we can’t believe it’s happened again. We’ve had that field for nearly 20 years andwe had no trou- ble at all until 2016. Then the first at- tack happened,Dadbuilt itupagain andnowit’s beenburntdownagain. “It’s a field in the middle of
nowhere - you wouldn’t know it was there. There’s no electricity so it’s definitely deliberate.” The family have three animals in
the field, one horse, one pony and a
