Dolly Wallace, Bosque Farms,
NM, won the bid on the Mustang of her choice on April 14! She is partic- ipating in the adult-trainers division of the Extreme Mustang Makeover, September 6-8 in Ft Worth. She will pick up her horse, a 4-year-old grulla gelding, May 18 in Paul Valley, OK.
Losses Gary Gordon, Argyle, died
March 27 after an extended illness. When he was young, he rode saddle broncs, but moved on to train horses for halter, western pleasure, and rein- ing events. He and wife Linda mar- ried in 1995, and they have owned and operated Fossil Gate Farms ded- icated to raising, showing, and pro- moting Paint, Palomino, Buckskin, Appaloosa, and Quarter Horse bloodlines at their finest. The couple have won 192 world championships. Gary held judges’ cards for several associations, and recently he received APHA’s Judges Emeritus award for 31 years of service.
Floyd “Sonny” Moore,
Huntsville died at home on his beloved 6J Ranch April 3, after a long illness. He was best known for the original Delta, in the NCHA and APHA Halls of Fame, and Delta Flyer, in APHA HOF. He started out in the Paint horse business in 1980, and not long before his death, he re- ceived notification that he and wife Maryann will be inducted into the APHA HOF this year. In addition, he received TQHA’s Humanitarian Award in 1982. Memorial donations may be sent to APH Foundation. w
