cently earned Champion barrel racer for TX Jr High Rodeo Association’s Region VI. She cleaned house, being top 5 in pole bending, goat tying, breakaway roping, and ribbons!
Losses Robert R. Pruett, 78, San Mar-
cos, died February 21. He had many passions, including making hand- braided ornamental horse tack and handcrafting custom-made spurs. Na- tionally known for the latter, in 2011 he was inducted into the ACHA Member Hall of Fame for his craft.
Deb “Sonny” Victor, Idabel,
OK, died March 5. He was a PRCA member for years and trained many roping horses. While sharing his pas- sion for roping by teaching others, he also served as a great role model.
Cas Bar Tivio, 30, joined
Heaven’s herd March 8. Laney Baker Sikorski, Madisonville, owned him for the last 19 years. He blessed 3 generations as Laney’s last youth AQHA AA horse, her mother, Laura Cannon’s AQHA novice horse and in recent years, Laney’s daughter, Josey’s beginner show horse.
Dr. Jerry Singleton, 75, Mt.
