USCHA hosted an event in DeKalb February 17. The
day’s top score, 74, won the $2,500-Novice-Horse-NP for Jacob Morris, Idabel, OK, on Cheap Son Glasses. Kyle Cox scored that also to win the $15K-Novice-Horse on Im Double Smart, owned by Danette and Steve Sorrels.
SWQHA’s February 17-18 shows in Las Cruces, NM,
resulted in HPs Von Gus (Jr-Horse/Josh Armstrong), Blond Jaymze Bond (Sr-Horse/Lela Wright/Kristi Bateman & Jacinda Roybal), DCC Sabe Pepto (13&u/Brie Riley), Peppy Gunsmoke (14-18/Michaela Corn), WRH Kings Princess (Sel-Am/Becky Dean Walker), Travapower Lady (Am/Alicia Walker), Invited Cuz Im Gold (L1-Youth/Kaydens Koenig), Ghost N The Darkness (L1-Am/Amber Thompson), and Sure Premium (L1-Am-WT/Teris Clayton).
Southern Methodist University’s equestrians defeated
South Dakota State University (SDSU) 15-5, winning all 4 disciplines in Dallas February 24. Mustangs earning Most Outstanding Player (MOP) recognition were Hayley Banas (Eq-Over), Ashley Mauney (Horsemanship), and Olivia Pakula (Reining).
Texas A&M University’s equestrian team defeated
Baylor 14-4 on February 24 in College Station. MOP recog- nition went to Aggies Alex Desiderio (Eq-Over), Avery Ellis (Horsemanship), and Rachael Hake (Eq-Flat).
Case Robertson, Farwell, won the youth class, jr and sr
combined, with a 76 on Little Rey Whirlacat at Panhandle CHA’s February 25 show in Amarillo.
Texas Christian University defeated SDSU 12-7 in
Springtown, February 27, making 4 wins out of 5 spring meets. The Frogs earned 4 MOP awards, by riders Jayme Omand (Eq-Over), Elena Hurd (Reining), Carley Barnett (Eq- Flat), and Marah Huston (Horsemanship).
Baylor University’s equestrian team defeated South
Carolina 7-5 March 2 in the Delaware State University tour- nament in Dover. Abbi Demel’s 71 in horsemanship, the high- est western score of the meet, earned her that MOP.

in Stephenville paid out $185,175! Average champions on 4 head were Clay Tryan/Jade Corkill (Open/24.23), Billy Bob Brown/Shawn McKinley (#15/27.39), Lain LaFountain/Tate Kirchenschlager (#13/28.31), Trey Gargis/Justice Thompson (#12/29.88), Kyla Stamps/Brady Kyle (#11/32.6), Desmon Davis/Ty Bargar (#10/32.24), and Desmon Davis/Court Creamer (Super-9/34.95). Super-8 champs Francisco Navar- rete and Lyvan Gonzales turned 3 head in 24.66.

Bosque Farms Arena, resulted in HPs Von CJ (Open/Liz Shough), Magnums Blu Shadow (WT-Open/Christy Hard- ing), Durango (18&u/Alyssa Waugh), A Country Pleasure (19&o/Linda Marion), and Gus (Novice/Julie Gibson).
Pinto HA of NMhosted its first show of the year in Belen
March 4. All-breed HPs include HF Stunning Stepsister (op/Shalene Snipes), Tahoe Lil Hickory (yth/Selena Fres- quez), and Betty Davis Eyes (mini/pony/Elizabeth Moore).
The Diamonds & Dirt Barrel Horse Classic was held
