INBUSINESS VIEWPOINT
Towards the end of last year your Chamber launched a new platform to support and nurture the young business leaders of the future. I am proud to announce that within a few short months Next
Generation Chamber has become a thriving network which already has more than 60 members. The level of engagement we have seen from Next Generation
members has been inspiring and it is a privilege to watch them developing their skills and strengthening their network of contacts. To date we have run exclusive Personal Development sessions on
Effective Networking and Leadership v Management which looked at the types of leadership behaviours that engage people to give their very best and the management skills that are necessary to make sure things get done. The next Personal Development session will be on Fine-Tuning Your Communication Skills
on 29 March and will provide Next Generation members with valuable insights into identifying their strengths and blind spots. We have also run three social networking events and will hold our next session on 26 April. These events are open to members and non-members of Next Generation Chamber and have already proved extremely popular. It welcomes people from all sectors seeking to share experiences, to learn from business leaders and to work with their peers to develop new skills, knowledge and best practice. It reflects the core belief that we learn and develop most effectively in the company of
friends and peers with obvious benefits for employers in the creation of more confident, knowledgeable and better networked staff. We are already very proud of our Next
Generation Chamber members and cannot wait to see all that they will achieve. If you would like to join Next Generation
Chamber, or if you have an employee who could benefit from the support it offers, call us on 01908 547820.
