ISSUE SPOTLIGHT: COMMUNICATIONS & MARKETING

PR FIRM ALSO GOOD AT CLIENT RELATIONS

With a 98% rebooking rate, Stevie Pattison-Dick knows about maintaining good business relationships with clients. Stevie (pictured) runs a successful

PR and communications business in Milton Keynes and Northamptonshire called Stevie Pattison-Dick Public Relations (SPDPR). Working with the trustees and

staff of a health charity recently, Stevie helped the team pull together a strategic plan of social media activity to support their healthcare work. The CEO put the learning into practice straight away and was delighted with the results. SPDPR works with clients in

other ways: remotely managing their press office, writing press releases and supporting business marketing, event planning, as well as crisis management and media training – preparing business leaders for difficult interviews. Stevie said: “I am too often

surprised how many small businesses do not know what their clients think about, or say about them, nor have they planned any positive PR or social media for staying in touch with their clients over the year.

KLOOD GROWING STRONG “Most engagements start with an

informal comms audit with the client’s customers and staff. This gives me a good picture of where businesses are in their social health. It helps me to put an annual communications plan together and show my clients how to plan ahead. I make it easy – it must not be a chore or too onerous. “Having 12 months of planned

positive PR helps businesses stay in touch with their clients – and it’s a chance to think about their own business in a fresh way, and even generate new income streams.”

Following a management buyout late last year that saw a move from central Milton Keynes to Newport Pagnell, the new Klood Digital enjoyed significant growth in its first three months. The inbound marketing and growth agency added three new

retained clients and acquired two new website development projects between November 2017 and January 2018. Klood has been a promoter of inbound marketing since 2015, and

this has continued under the new management of Klood’s former head of Inbound, Trevor Nicholls, with both new web projects being developed via the Growth-Driven Design model – a methodology closely linked to inbound marketing. Based at Newport Pagnell’s Interchange Business Centre, Klood has

also resumed hosting the very popular HubSpot User Group (MKHUG), a free-to-attend networking event open to marketers and local businesses who wish to learn more about inbound marketing concepts. The next event will be hosted on Wednesday 9 May. Find out more by searching for ‘MKHUG’.
