will also have her bright work stripped and redone and several other upgrades. A Grand Banks 38 powerboat has issues


At the Landing School they are progressing well on the hull of the "green" boat.

She will also have her bottom redone and her topsides Awlgripped. A Bristol 45.5 will be coming in for a new Buda diesel engine; a Tartan 40 will be in for Awlgrip; a Pilot 19 in for Awlgrip; a RP 31 will be in for Awlgrip


Journey's End Marina in Rockland


is making repairs to the house sides of a Duff y 35 as well as some deck work. This will include repainting the repaired areas as well as installing a new headliner inside the shelter.


Another Sabre 66 will be arriving at the


yard this winter and workers will be doing bottom systems, varnish and Awlgripping the hull. An interesting project was doing up-


grades to a tuna boat that is featured on the television show “Wicked Tuna.” They enclosed the house, added bunks and an outside helm and then painted her. There are a number of repowers this


winter, mostly on commercial fi shing boats. Despite being winter, the marina is full


with commercial fi shing boats, many going off shore to fi sh.


Brooklin Boat Yard in Brooklin is


progressing well on the 91 foot sailboat they have under construction the last year. The deck is done and they are currently working on the interior, which is about 70 percent complete. The systems are about 80-85 percent complete and mostly what is left is detail work. The center cockpit, which was built on the third level, is ready to be lifted into position. The boat will be moved outside in March and will be launched in April.

on her fi rst ocean passage to Antigua she hit a top speed of 22.4 knots. She is presently going to remain in Antigua for the winter. Another boat they launched last season, BLACKFISH, is back and had an excellent racing season. One change they are going to make is a readjustment to the location of a sail track and then they will do her annual maintenance. Presently there are no confi rmed orders,


but they are bidding on a number of projects. One is a Bruce Johnson 47; and another is a 62 foot powerboat, which is being designed in-house. They are also looking at a resto- ration project on a 1922 powerboat which needs a complete refi t. An interesting project, which will be


under construction soon, is an art sculpture dedicated to the memory of the Sandy Hook educators who lost their lives. This is a 10 foot diameter sculpture and it will be built using composite construction.


Atlantic Boat in Brooklin had a run on
