Foster Care Fortnight is an annual event celebrating the work of foster carers. Fostering can make a huge difference to the lives of fostered children and young people and Foster Care Fortnight is an excellent opportunity to showcase that difference.


Transforming lives But foster care doesn’t just transform the lives of the young people who are fostered, it also has the power to change the lives of foster carers, their families and all those who are involved in fostering.

We are urgently looking for ordinary people to do something extraordinary, can you help? More young people and siblings are coming into care, if you have a desire to help get in touch today.


Foster for Merton and we can offer you: ✓ Comprehensive, on-going professional training ✓ 24/7 support and mentors ✓ An allowance of up to £507 per week, per child

Could you foster for Merton Council and change a child’s life?


With thousands of new foster carers required ever year, it is also an opportunity to raise awareness of the benefits of fostering and find new carers.


Foster Care Fortnight 2018 will take place from 14 to 27 May. There will be a series of


events both nationally and locally. Many of these are very informal events where you can ask questions or chat to other foster carers.


Anyone is welcome Merton Council will be a holding a series of events and anyone is welcome. Please come along and find out more about fostering.
