motivate yourself. Take awalk in a local park to refresh your body, mind and soul – being outside in nature and with plenty of fresh air really does dowonders for every aspect of your life. Struggling to find the drive to go to the gym? Start by doing some stretchingmoves athomein your gymgear; it’ll get the blood flowing and probablymake youpumpedto get yourworkout in.And if not, go for a quickwalk round your neighbourhood to get your body moving; someactivity is always better than nothing and you will feel refreshed (physically andmentally) for it.
Sometimes it’s nearly impossible to motivate yourself alone, and this is
where peer pressure can be a good thing. So, share your goals with your friends and family. If youmake them public knowledge, you’ll be more inclined to actually get them done as they will help to keep you accountable. If it’s your exercise regime that’s suffering, book in a gym date with your friend, sibling or children. Youwon’twant to cancel on them and they’llmake a usually boringworkoutway more fun so you’ll reallywant to go! You can also give yourself a reward; but only when you’ve done that thing you’ve been putting off for a while. You’re bound to be more driven if there’s a treat at the end, whether it’s a new pair of shoes when you finallywork towards getting that promotion at work, or a nice glass of wine as a reward for getting to the gymallweek.
