Frette wraps up our prizes

Access Private Bank extends relationship with new Corporate Partnership

Guards Polo Club is delighted to announce that it has expanded its relationship with Access Bank – one of Africa’s foremost financial

institutions.

Already co-creators of the spectacular Access Bank Day at Smith’s Lawn, which annually raises substantial funds for UNICEF, Access Private Bank has now signed a three-year Corporate Partnership with Guards Polo Club. Support such as this, especially from a brand that is already deeply embedded in the sport, is vital to Guards Polo Club as it continues to develop and improve its polo fields at Smith’s Lawn, Flemish Farm and Coworth Park. Neil Hobday, CEO of Guards Polo

Club, said on signing this agreement: “Guards Polo Club is delighted to enhance its relationship with Access Bank. Herbert Wigwe, Chairman of The Access Bank UK, and his fellow directors already have a clear understanding and passion for polo – here in the UK and in Africa – and so this new partnership will be of great benefit to Guards Polo

Club and the wider game itself. Of course, the support of knowledgeable partners such as Access Private Bank are invaluable as we are continually striving to maintain our position as one of the best clubs in the world.” Jamie Simmonds, CEO and Managing

Director of The Access Bank UK, said: “We are delighted to have this opportunity to cement our relationship with Guards Polo Club even further. This event continues to raise the profile of the work that we are doing in Nigeria, with Fifth Chukker and UNICEF, to support the development and support for disadvantaged children in the country.” This new agreement will run for three

years. In addition, both organisations are already hard at work on planning the Access Bank Day 2018. This key fixture, which will be held on

Saturday 14 July, brings together polo patrons from Guards Polo Club and our reciprocal Nigerian club, Fifth Chukker, plus a sprinkling of 10-goal, South American magic.

There was a new name among the prizes at Smith’s Lawn this summer – Frette. This revered Italian brand generously awarded our lady players the softest of towels on finals day for the Ladies’ Charity Trophy. Frette is no stranger to the big

occasion though. For more than a century, it has been supplying linens in some of the most iconic places around the world, including the altar of St Peter’s Basilica in Rome and the dining car of the Orient Express. It has also created bespoke linen to many leading hotels, such as The Peninsula in Hong Kong and Claridges in London. However, this service

is now

available in Frette stores worldwide, including

Frette’s boutique in

Mayfair, London, offering a bespoke service for its private clients, with specialists on hand to advise on colour and style if needed. This service is offered for all Frette

ranges, from bed and bath linens to table linens and throws, even dressing gowns and pyjamas. Customers can select from a fabrics and colours

vast array of
