I am happy to say that cowboy boots are finally back and more than acceptable, they are on-trend! You may laugh, but I have long considered them one of the most comfortable pair of boots I have ever worn and whilst I don’t own a horse or possess an American twang, I can now wear them with pride! We all know that fashion comes back round but isn’t it great when it does and it’s easy to wear!

Valentine’s Day is looming, flower shops will be at their busiest and some say priciest [clearing my throat] and men will be buying ill-fitting lingerie to delight their wives and girlfriends with! We’ll be seeing red across the board, however I have to say one of the most beautiful Valentine bouquets I ever received was a huge bouquet of white roses. Food for thought?

This month we interviewed the Hollywood legend that is Richard Jenkins who appears in the film The Shape of Water which has notched up a wealth of Oscar and Bafta nominations. We also spoke to his co-star Octavia Spencer for our Cotswold magazine – she’s up for Best Supporting Actress, so fingers crossed for her! The film is an elegant blend of whimsical fairy tale with a fresh spin on a classic monster movie for a delightful viewing experience – a great choice for a trip to the cinema on Valentine’s Day.

Another date worth noting this month is World Cancer Day on the 4th. A day which hopes to raise awareness of cancer and to encourage its prevention, detection and treatment. This year you can buy a Unity Band to play your part from Cancer Research UK, these colourful bands are a symbol of people uniting against this awful disease.

Enjoy reading this issue and if you aren’t lucky enough to receive a Valentine’s treat this year, know that the team at Live 24-Seven appreciate you…
