Howl-O-Ween at The Sail for SPCA Florida. Sunday, October 29.
Tampa - There was an impressive turnout on a cool, sunny Florida day. The Sail Pavilion is on Tampa’s Riverwalk, overlooking the water, which makes this one of Florida’s favorite dog-friendly watering holes. The event has grown, thanks in part to the SPCA Florida team. (Left to right): Griffin is an 11-year-old Brussels Griffon. He played his part perfectly, dressed in the Blackbone Academy of Grog & Gruel For Dogs Kitchen. He and his human have done a lot of agility work over the years as well as nose work. They moved to Tampa from Oregon three years ago and love the Florida dog-friendly vibe. Vanessa and Douglass as Lolita and Zorro with Baby. In our book, Best Face went to Sam the Schnauzer dressed as a Beanie Baby. Zoe in an elegant, homemade costume of feathers and glitz came as a Las Vegas showgirl.

Strut Wag & Rock at Ferg’s Live, Sunday, October 29 for Vets 4 Pets.
Tampa - In the month of October, it seems there are never enough days to fit in all of the dog-friendly events happening across Florida. We caught two in one day, thankfully next to each other. Ferg’s Live co-hosted this year’s Strut Wag & Rock along with Tito’s Handmade Vodka (the vodka for dog people). The event was a fundraiser for Vets 4 Pets Charitable Clinic in Tampa. The Clinic provides services to those in the community who cannot afford medical treat- ment for their pets. (Clockwise, below left): Bambina the Babe. She was adopted from Pet Resource Center. Olive is a three-year-old Blue Nose Bully mix. Eddie, the Brussels Griffon, is dressed as Batman, complete with his Batmobile. Chevy, thought to be between two and three, was found as a stray, twice. Once in Pasco County, where he was taken to PCAS. Someone adopted him. Then he was picked up as a stray in Hillsborough County, where he was taken to Pet Resource Center. He was adopted about a year
