Accountancy firms in merger
A long-established Swindon accountancy firm has joined forces with Optimum Professional Services to ensure its business clients can fully prepare for the government’s plans to digitalise the tax system. Reeves & Co is run by Chris
Vaughan, who believes joining with the Optimum team will provide the best way for his clients to prepare for Making Tax Digital (MTD). This is the Government’s initiative that will require business owners and landlords to submit quarterly reports online. MTD is due to be phased in from 2019. Richard Mathews, CEO of Optimum Professional Services, said MTD is one of the most sweeping changes to the taxation system to be introduced and it is vital that advisers are prepared and ready to help their clients. Inside Media goes for gold at awards night
Inside Media, the Bristol-based communication agency, has won Gold and Silver among seven finalist awards in the latest accolades for communication professionals. Gold was awarded for the ‘Reputation Management’ (public affairs) category for Inside Media’s support for cider maker Aston Manor. That work includes
drafting submissions on Government consultations and engaging with various stakeholders on issues like alcohol policy, duty and misuse. This strong endorsement coincides with Inside Media’s investment in development. One of the team is currently undertaking a MSc in Strategy, Change and Leadership and this along with the team’s decades’ worth of in-house experience points to more new business potential.
